What is cast magnesium alloy
Cast magnesium alloy is a magnesium alloy formed by adding alloying elements to magnesium base, which is suitable for producing parts by casting method. According to the forming process, magnesium alloys can be divided into cast magnesium alloys and deformed magnesium alloys, which have great differences in composition, microstructure and properties. The cast magnesium alloy is mainly used in automobile parts, machine parts and electrical components. The deformed magnesium alloy is mainly used in thin sheet, extruded parts and forgings.
Cast magnesium alloy has the following characteristics: large crystallization temperature interval, large bulk shrinkage and line shrinkage, small cocrystal amount, specific heat capacity, latent heat of solidiization, density and liquid indenter in the tissue, low fluidity, tensile cracking, shrinkage and loosening tendency is generally much larger than cast aluminum alloy.
